Email MARKETING - WEB APPLICATION

List manager is a module of an leading email marketing application: A highly automated and a fully customizable mass email campaign system. This module is used to create lists. A List has profile’s details like email address, First Name, Last name and other important details. List is associated with a campaign.

PROBLEM

The client approached Think Design with an intent to revamp the feature “ List managers “ in the existing email marketing application. Since, more options are being added to the feature, they found difficulties in overcoming the user experience concerns. Think Design reviewed the application, features and new features to be incorporated and took up the challenge of solving the user experience concerns.

SOLUTION

Think Design followed two methods of solving the complexity, Initially we started with the review of the existing application. A thorough UX review was made and feedback was given stating the point of issues. During Conceptualization phase, Think Design developed design directions and worked on mockups and prototypes, which became more complete over time. Later we customized the process to fit needs. Starting with mockups and first prototypes, we started the initial concepts about navigation, information architecture and presentation of features. These helped us in building interactive prototypes as the project progressed.

Visual design was an activity parallel to mockups which later converged into a single prototype demonstrating both the look and feel. Combining UI and visual design with the interactions and navigation, we had a unified path to develop along. Our design team coordinated with the development team , to ensure the product came up developed as per the design intent.

USABILITY TEST

Watching users running the application, gives an insight of the issues faced while navigating through the application. Think Design conducted an Usability audit to find the usability bottlenecks and other Interface design and experience issues. Users with different levels of experience were involved to participate in testing the application. Problems faced by users were observed and a statistical report showing the problem areas was submitted and design suggestions for enhancements were given.
